The third U.S. airline, United Airlines, and the fourth, Continental Airlines, have resumed discussions on a possible merger of the two entities reported in the New York Times. The dialogue is not yet in its infancy. Negotiations had been held on this same subject two years earlier, but Continental had broken the commitment to merge with United.
A week earlier, United had already resumed talks with U.S. Airways. Many analysts in the aviation sector, the talks with U.S. Airways were used mainly to Continental in return to the negotiating table now payday loan. In effect a merger between United and Continental seems more interesting for both companies.
If they merge, it would become the largest airline in the world at Delta Airlines and American Airlines.The two companies are also complementary to their networks. United is more developed over the northern United States and Asia, while Continental is further south of the United States, Europe and Latin America.
